Carnegie Leaders in Learning is a partnership between Leeds Metropolitan University and CCDU Ltd, combined to create a centre of excellence for leadership development opportunities for the children and young people’s workforce.

 

Leadership development and NCSL programmes

The overall aim of the Carnegie Leaders in Learning Partnership is to be a world-class regional centre for professional development in education, leadership and change management.

As such, Carnegie Leaders in Learning provides leadership development programmes for leaders at all levels in schools and other educational settings in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

As part The Northern Partnership, Carnegie Leaders in Learning delivers the following National College leadership programmes in schools:

Leadership development programmes

National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH)

NPQH is a mandatory qualification for all first-time head teachers. Find out more about NPQH.

Early Headship Provision (EHP)

EHP is designed to support first-time head teachers by identifying and addressing their personal and professional development needs. Find out more about EHP

Leading from the Middle (LftM)

LftM is designed to develop the leadership skills of middle leaders by focussing on personal areas for development. Find out more about LftM.

Leadership Pathways

A precursor to the NPQH, Leadership Pathways is suitable for individuals who have completed the LftM programme and are looking to work towards the head teacher qualifications. Find out more about Leadership Pathways.

Team programmes

Developing the Capacity for Sustained Improvement (DCSI) and Working Together for Success (WTFS)

DCSI focuses on strategic thinking and capacity building for sustained improvement for leadership teams.
WTFS is designed to build highly effective teams that will improve the working environment of schools.
